Conversational Narcissism and Care Groups
Care groups are a place for mutual encouragement, putting others interest above our own. However, they can all too easily become self-focused in subtle ways. Since care groups are such a highly relational and conversational aspect of our life together, we would all benefit from the warning not to be "conversational narcissists." The conversational narcisissit is the one who always (or often and perhaps subtly) is turning the covnersation toward themselves. We must beware of this tendency and vigilantly avoid it.
