Adult Sunday School
Join us this Sunday, September 4, at 9:00 a.m. as we wrap up our Contemporary Hersey Series. Jim Clayton will lead us in examining the false teachings of Benny Hinn (9/4), and next week Ray Rutledge (9/11) will conclude the series with a thoughtful recap of our 9 week study followed by a time of Q & A.
Beginning September 18, we will switch gears with two practical yet crucial series focusing on the advancement of the biblical gospel through worldwide missions (4 weeks) and personal evangelism (8 weeks)! Make every effort to be a part of these important studies as we are further equipped to spread the good news.
Discovering Christ Covenant
Friday-Saturday, September 9-10
Join us for this class to discover why church membership is a vital means of grace that God gives his people in order that they might walk in a manner worthy of the gospel. At CCC, we place great emphasis on the joy and responsibility of being a fruitful member of a local church. Childcare is available and breakfast will be served. Sign up this month in the narthex at the Family Life Board.
Fall Youth Retreat
Friday-Sunday, September 9-11
The annual fall retreat is September 9-11. We will be staying in Raleigh, and each small group will be staying in one of our church member's homes. This weekend is a great opportunity for your children to build relationships with other students and the youth workers who will be leading them throughout the year. The cost is $25. Please pick your child/children up at the church on Saturday night at 10pm. but bring them back to the church at 8:30am the next morning for a pancake breakfast, and to wrap-up the weekend. Please let Daniel know if you are interested in helping with food or transportation for the weekend.
Children’s Choir “Joyful Noise”
Calling all children ages K-5 thru 5th Grade - Please join us this year for our children’s choir “Joyful Noise” on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. beginning September 14th. For additional information or to sign up, please visit the table in the Narthex or call Lisa Lewis at 614-3929. We are also in need of one volunteer!
Women’s Bible Study
Psalms for the Soul - A ten-week study of selected Psalms
All women are invited to sign up for our Fall Bible Study, "Psalms for the Soul". This is a 10-week study of selected psalms and is offered on Wednesday nights (6:45-8:30) and Thursday mornings (9:25-11:30). Start dates are Wednesday, September 14 and Thursday, September 15. The study is free, but we are asking people to bring their own 3-ring binders on the first day to put the study into. Childcare will be available. You may sign up in the narthex thru September 4. We hope you can join us!
Wednesday Night Kickoff
Wednesday, September 14, 6:45-8:30 p.m.
We look forward to kicking off our activities on Wednesday night including Joyful Noise/His Kids, Table Talk, and Women’s Bible Study.
Sisters in Christ Fellowship

All women are invited to join us for a time of fellowship and encouragement as our sister, Kristi Perdue, shares her life with us.

Friday-Saturday, September 23-24
This conference will explore why a healthy church is one that centers its corporate life around the gospel, and how it can do this in everyday life for the glory of God. Register at sebts.edu, but also email Julie Dietz if you plan to attend so that we can purchase dinner on Friday night for our group.
Church-wide Family Meeting
Sunday, October 2, 4:30 p.m.
All are invited to our next family meeting. Join us as we gather for a time of prayer and worship over the work that God is doing in and through His church. Childcare is available.
War Mission Trip
Our church will be taking a team to War, WV to minister the gospel and serve the people of War. If you have interest in participating, please sign up and complete an application by October 1. There will be a mandatory meeting on October 1, 8:30-10:00 a.m. Contact Paul DeLello at 570-5320 with questions.

Our prison ministry team will visit CA Dillon Prison on Sunday, September 11 at 9:00 a.m. (2nd Sunday of each month) to visit with the young men at Dillon and let them know our church is praying for them. Please stand with us as we continue to pray for them and their families. Contact Jeff or June Eason for information.
Vespers at Mayview
Our church will lead vespers at the nursing home on Sunday, September 18 at 4:00 p.m. Contact Gina Arensman at 782-1501 if you would like information on this ministry.
