February News and Announcements
Refreshments and Fellowship
Sunday, February 19, following the service
There will be a time of fellowship and refreshments following the service. Stay and enjoy.
Sunday, February 26, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
We are having a "Reconnect" with the other churches that went to Creed camp on Sunday, February 26th. This time it will be held at Open Door Baptist Church on Durant Rd. It starts at 5:30 pm and all your student needs to bring is $1.00 for dinner. It will end at around 7:30, so please plan on being there to pick your student up. This is a great opportunity to continue to fellowship with other like-minded churches and their youth, and we would love to see a ton of our own youth there. Katie Mercer will be the point person for this so if you have any questions feel free to email her at email@example.com.
Sunday, March 4, 4:30 p.m.
Please join us for our next family meeting. Childcare is available. Please note there will not be a meeting in February.
A class for all those interested in joining Christ Covenant Church will be held in Adult 1 at 9:00am on Sundays from Feb 12 - April 1. If you would like to become a member, please plan to attend all eight Sunday morning sessions as this is a necessary step towards membership. The final step towards membership is the weekend class called Discovering Christ Covenant, which will be held Friday-Saturday, April 13-14. For more information please call the church office.
Friday-Sunday, March 23-25
All women are invited to join us on March 23-25th at Rockfish Retreat Center for the annual women’s retreat. Registration is Feb 5- 26th. You may register online or at the registration table in the lobby during the month of February. Questions? Contact Jennifer Morgan at 872-2551 or Stacy Lingle at 419-618-8323.
Growing Together: Marriage Weekend
Friday-Saturday, February 17-18
There is still time to register for the marriage conference. We are looking forward to hosting Dr. Robert Jones as the speaker. If you’re married, you’ll be able to apply it all immediately. And single individuals will be ahead of the curve after learning these truths to apply to their dating relationships and possible future marriage. Plan to be encouraged and equipped to walk in marriages that grow in unity and love.
The weekly fellowship starters are an excellent way to engage in fellowship as you discuss the application of the sermon with other believers. These questions are available each Sunday on the blog at cccraleigh.org. You may also pick up a printed copy on the table in the narthex.
Updated church directories are available in the narthex. If your contact information changes, please call the church office and let them know.
Christ Church Rolesville
The team has been joined together to plant a church in Rolesville. We want to remember that those who stay at Christ Covenant are also a vital part of this team. Your role will be constant prayer, encouragement and stepping forward to fill vacancies left by the leaders and volunteers. We would encourage you to make a commitment to pray for them over the next year. Pray that God would sustain them, and that the church would bear great fruit in Rolesville. Christ Church’s first service will be on May 6, 2012 at the Rolesville Community Center.
Prison Ministry: Our prison ministry team will visit CA Dillon Prison on Sunday, February 12 at 9:00 a.m. (2nd Sunday of each month) to visit with the young men at Dillon and let them know our church is praying for them. Please stand with us as we continue to pray for them and their families. Contact Jeff or June Eason for information.
