Men's Bible Study
All men are invited to join us this evening, August 16 at 7:00pm in Adult 1 as we gather to study the book of Jonah. This will be our final meeting for the summer and we will be studying chapter 4 of Jonah - feel free to read the chapter in advance and join us to study and pray together.
Dispatches from the Front
We will gather this Saturday, August 18 at 6:00pm to watch a movie called Dispatches from the Front, which highlights the forward movement of the gospel in Ethiopia and in the world's newest country, South Sudan. Please set aside your evening to join us to watch the movie, and to pray for gospel-laborers in Africa.
6th Grade Lunch
This Sunday, August 19 following the morning service all new 6th grade students and their parents are invited to join us in the youth room for a welcome lunch and orientation to the youth group.
The CCC Refugee Tutoring Ministry resumes Wednesday, August 29th at 5:45pm. Our mission is to display the Gospel as we serve this group of students who face daunting challenges as they continue to adjust to a new language and culture. We desire to be the hands and feet of Christ as we move toward these students in love, grace and mercy. Adults and teens can effectively tutor - and a weekly commitment is not required. Drivers are also needed to transport the students to/from church each week. An informational meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 22 from 7:00-8:00pm for those interested in serving this year. RSVP to Michele Suffridge (email@example.com).
On Sunday, August 26 all children will move up to their new Sunday School classes.
We are still in need of several family and/or individual tents for the upcoming youth campout. If you have a tent that you could loan for Friday, September 7, please contact the church office or Luke Akins (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Family Picnic and Baptism
We will gather a church family on Sunday, September 16 following the morning service at Falls Lake for a picnic and baptism. Please bring lunch for your family, dessert to share, and lawn chairs.
