Update From Tom and Carol
Dear church family,
Carol and I just wanted to let you know how the first couple weeks of our sabbatical has gone. We spent our first week in Annapolis, Maryland and Washington, D.C. and enjoyed many visits with family members there. The most precious time was spent with our son Tommy and our daughter-in-law Carolyn.
I spent three days visiting Capital Hill Baptist Church and meeting with different staff, elders and interns and having good discussions on various ministry issues. Overall, It was a very profitable week. We were able to attend the Sunday morning service and the Sunday evening service. While they were wonderful times of worship, we really missed our church family at Christ Covenant.
Following our time in DC, we were able to take a short vacation with our family at Carolina beach. The weather was fantastic, the time with our kids was wonderful, and the time with our four precious grandchildren was over-the-top. Did we mention that all four of the grandchildren are under three years of age?
As I am writing this we are in the car headed to Minneapolis. We will make two stops on the way, Ohio and Chicago, to visit with extended family members.
We appreciate the many texts and emails sending your love and prayers. We're continuing to lift you before the Father in prayer, and look forward to seeing you soon.
Tom and Carol
