Walking Worthy of the Calling
Passage: Ephesians 4:1–4:3
The first Sunday of each month we as a church approach the Lord’s Table. Our thoughts should be directed to not only the blessings that have been lavished upon us by the Father, in the Son, and applied by the Spirit, but also to remind us of the responsibilities of the grace that has been bestowed upon us.
The truth of the Word that gives confidence and peace also should encourage us to thankfulness – a thankfulness that moves us to increasing unity in the faith, and the incremental manifestation of Christ-likeness in actions and attitudes. The worth of the calling should lead to a worthy walk by the recipients of the call. Our text in Ephesians will cause us to examine our walk as we prepare our hearts to share the table.
